Finally, after a long year, the first Influenster VoxBox has arrived in Canada! A few weeks ago I received an email and completed the survey, then heard nothing. I really didn't give two thoughts about actually receiving the box until it showed up in my mailbox a few days ago.
From Influenster:
"Canada has seen a lot of firsts: It's the first nation to celebrate Thanksgiving, train the world's first female jet-fighter pilots, & establish a national park! Joining the ranks of these auspicious Canadian firsts is Influenster Nation's first Canadian VoxBox: The Maple VoxBox! We finally made it. Log in to check in your VoxBox now!"
Skinny Cow Milk Chocolate Flavour Heavenly Crisp

Ice Breakers DUO
"New Ice Breakers DUO combines sweet fruity taste with refreshing cooling crystals. Ice Breakers DUO is a two sided mint with a fruity flavoured, textured side and a minty, smooth side that cools and freshens your breath. Available is strawberry and raspberry."
NYC New York Color Big Bold Curl Mascara
"Big Bold Curl Mascara's oversized curved brush is the ultimate way to get outrageously thick and super sexy lashes. One stroke gives your lashes up to 12x more volume and 99% more lift.
NYC New York Color Big Bold Plumping Lip Gloss
"Big Bold Plumping Lip Gloss makes lips look up to 50% fuller with a high gloss shine that lasts up to 4 hours. The ultra-soft, mega applicator gives full and even coverage for beautiful, perfectly plump lips."
Broadway Nails impress Press-On Manicure
"imPRESS Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails is the revolutionary way to apply polish! Get a salon-perfect manicure in seconds - simply peel off, press on, and you're done (NO glue needed!). There's no drying, a killer shine and a manicure that lasts up to a week! Available at Walmart."
Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spas
"Join the Revolution and start a new weekly skincare regime with the Clay Spas from Montagne Jeunesse. These natural bamboo fabric masks are infused with clay for a cleansing experience that is better, quicker and easier than ever before."
Overall, I am pretty impressed with the contents of this VoxBox. The snacks were super yummy! The nails are purple which is my favorite colour, and I never say no to new cosmetics to try. I am very intrigued by the NYC Mascara and face mask. The gloss isn't in a colour I normally wear, so I may gift it to someone else. Seeing as a didn't pay anything for this box, the value of the contents is pretty good. I cant wait to see what the next box for Canada holds!

Colours of the Rainbow Tag!
I first saw this tag going around YouTube a few weeks ago, and knew that I wanted to get in on this tag action. No one specifically tagged me, but MissGlamorazzi did say that she tagged anyone watching her video so I'm taking that as I was. :)
I am going to tag a few specific people, however, if you are reading this and want to do this tag go ahead! Leave me you link in the comments, so that I can see your colourful picks!
Hopefully you enjoyed reading this tag. I would love to see your picks, so leave a comment to your posts below. Have you tried any of my favourite colourful products? If so, what are your thoughts on them?

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Cherry Tart
I've always been wary about wearing a red lip. I'm afraid that the colour will bleed and I'll have it all over my face or all over my teeth. This was my first red lip product and it has been love ever since. This lip butter is very pigmented, I only need one layer for adequate colour payoff. It is moisturizing, especially when you put on a few layers, and the colour just intensifies with each swipe. It is a bright and vibrant red that can be worn everyday. Lately, I have been wearing this paired with black eyeliner and mascara, for a minimal, yet classic look.Covergirl Lash Blast Volume Mascara
This has been my go to mascara since I started wearing makeup, years and years ago. Although I have tried many others, I always seem to go back to this one. The brush separates my lashes and makes it so each lash is coated from root to tip. The formula isn't overly wet so application is easy. After using this I am always left with a perfect fan of lashes.Cake Beauty Lemon Cupcake Shampoo, Shower Gel, and Bubble Bath
I can't tell you how much I love this shower gel! It is citrusy, and sugary, with a hint of vanilla. It awakens the senses and leaves me feeling clean, and smelling great. It reminds me of Bath & Body Works Shower Gel in Lemon Vanilla. It lathers extremely well and leaves the skin clean, but not dry. I feel moisturized after using this, and rarely need to use extra cream after. The smell lingers on my skin for a little while after which is something I really like in my shower gels. I want to try and find a lotion that smells like this so that I can layer. At first I was kind of skeptical about this product because most lemon shower gels smell like Lemon Pledge to me. But this is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone.M. Asam Vino Gold Magic Fini
I couldn't really find a green product in my collection other than this one. I received this sample in a past Glymm bag, when they were still in business. I put off using it for the longest time, because it looks so dark and I'm always the palest shade when it comes to foundations. I've been using it for about a month now and only used half the pot. This feels like a primer when it goes on, but melts into your skin like a BB cream. It gives me light, even coverage, that on most days is enough. When I need more coverage I use this as a base and layer foundation on top. I am going to be really sad when this sample is empty. I would be willing to splurge on this product though, that's how much I love it.Nivea Aqua Effect Refreshing Toner - Normal Skin
This is my Holy Grail toner. I was using Clean&Clear for the longest time, but found it so drying. This toner leaves me skin feeling clean, refreshed, and not dry. It smells really good too. I use this at night after I cleanse my skin, and in the morning to remove any excess oils. I have combination skin, but this toner for normal skin has been working so I am going to be sticking with it for now. I may switch to the one for combination skin in the future, however, I will continue to use Nivea for my toner needs from now on.Marcelle Essentials Oil Free Eye Make-up Remover Lotion
Another Holy Grail product here! I love love love this stuff! It is so gentle on the eyes so I don't need a separate remover for face and eyes. It removes cream eye shadows, and waterproof mascara like a dream. There is no scent which I like and a little goes a long way. I really like that it says it is oil free and it really is. Most other makeup removers I've used that say oil free leave some sort of residue on my face, but not this one. I don't feel like I need to wash my face again after using this.Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
I didn't really have a violet or purple product I've really been loving right now. But I have been using this primer everyday, so in the tag it goes. I bought this because it is so hyped up in the beauty community. I can say it is worth the hype. My eyeshadow has never looked better and it stays on all day without fading or creasing. I bought the little sample bottle in case I didn't like it, but next time I go shopping in the USofA I am going to splurge and pick up the full size.Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey
I got on the bandwagon with this hyped up product as well. This stain is that "my lips but better" shade for me and I use it almost everyday. The pencil shape allows for easy application, and the twist up bottom eliminates the hassle of having to sharpen it. Honey is a dusty rose, light pink shade, that is mildly glossy. I usually put a gloss on top a few hours later when the initial glossiness is gone and just the stain is left. I will repurchase this stain again and again.Hopefully you enjoyed reading this tag. I would love to see your picks, so leave a comment to your posts below. Have you tried any of my favourite colourful products? If so, what are your thoughts on them?

Here is everything that I had in my toiletry bag. When I travel I like to bring sample sizes of almost everything in order to use up my sample stash before they go bad.
Although this toiletry bag works well for small trips, when I go away for more then a couple days it just doesn't do. I found a great train case at Walmart, it's on my Christmas List so hopefully I get it.

Surprise! October Glymm Bag Review!
So I didn't expect to be writing this review this month. I was told that my 1 year subscription was finished in September, but behold it was actually finished this month. I am really glad that I received this bag as I love the actual bag itself but also Glymm really stepped it up and sent some great samples and sample sizes.
Even though this months box was really good I decided to stay unsubscribed from Glymm at this time. I am swimming in samples right now so I need a break from sample boxes for at least a few months. Once my stash of samples are gone I will probably sign up for boxes again. Now onto what is in this months bag!
Because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month Glymm sent out a pink quilted makeup bag that matches the style of bags we have been receiving for the past two months. They also sent a pink ribbon pin which will look great on my new black winter coat. October also saw the return of the PRODUCT CARD! I was so happy when I saw this. I guess they will be having the card online and included in the bag from now on, and they encourage you to recycle it when you are finished.

Baby Buttercreme
Sample Size - 2 oz/$9
Full Size - 59mL/$9, 237mL/$32, 473mL/$58
Usage - Up to 5 uses
This daily maintenance hydration creme softens like no other and banishes dry hair while adding a plump sheen.
My Thoughts - At first I thought this was a skin moisturizer, but after some investigation found that it is a moisturizer for your hair. I have kinda straight, kinda wavy, semi-dry hair so I think that this may be of some use to me. Because of its thick texture I don't think I will need much at all so it will probably last a lot longer then 5 uses. This also smells absolutely amazing!
Johnson's Baby Oil
Sample Size - 88mL/$1
Usage - Up to 6 months
Introducing Glymm Mama! While waiting for the special edition box, this Johnson & Johnson baby oil is perfect for taking off your makeup - it even removes that mascara that you're about to try. It's also ideal for shaving, resulting in silky smooth legs. Get mega moisture from this multi-purpose tried and true remedy.
My Thoughts - This was an extra product this month so Glymm did not include the full size and value on the card. I guess they just added this product to promote their new box for moms and moms-to-be. You can buy this size at Dollarama for $1 so that's the value I gave it. My skin has been really dry lately so I cant wait to try this out.
H2O Hydration
Sample Size - 10mL/$12
Full Size - 50mL/$60
Usage - Up to 10 uses
This moisturizer will show your skin a good time. With more benefits than you can count, you can be sure to see some drastic results.
My Thoughts - I am so so so excited to get another sample of this cream. I have been using the precious sample we received and I love it! It makes my skin feel amazing. I would totally buy the full size if it wasn't $60. This cream doesn't have a smell which is nice and leaves my skin supple, and moisturized without being greasy.
Every Morning Sun Whip
Sample Size - 10mL/$7.60
Full Size - 50mL/$38
Usage - Up to 2 uses
Protect your delicate skin from harmful rays all year round with this daily sunscreen.
My Thoughts - I know it's bad but I don't use sunscreen on a daily basis because I have yet to find one that doesn't leave my skin oily. This seems really light and fragrance free so I am glad to get a sample to try.
Lightening Lash Mascara
Sample Size - 1 tube/$14
Full Size - 1 tube/$14
Usage - Up to 6 months
Get noticed with superstar lashes. Lengthen, amplify and bring each lash back to life.
My Thoughts - I have never heard of Femme Couture but this looks like a pretty good mascara. I really like the wand and actually needed a new mascara so this came at the perfect time!
Lash Card
Sample Size - 2 cards/$1.40
Full Size - 10 cards/$6.99
Usage - Up to 4 uses
Say bye-bye to clumpy and smudged mascara. This card will save you time and make your lashes lovably flawless.
My Thoughts - So this isn't something I would normally buy. You can just put a credit card or business card there to avoid smudges. I might give these away because I cant see myself using them.
Overall Value - $45 (roughly)

February Empties
I came to the realization that I am never going to be able to complete a no-buy Project 10 Pan. I like shopping too much and keep buying. I do want to try and use stuff up though, so I am no longer doing a Project 10 Pan, but I am going to keep doing a monthly empties blog post. I think that if I stay dedicated to doing these posts it will help encourage me to use up more products, so I have more to talk about.
Below are the products I complete used up in February.
Below are the products I complete used up in February.
CoverGirl Clean Makeup Pressed Powder
Repurchase: Yes
My Thoughts: I really liked this powder. It claimed to be oil free and to control oil and it did just that. The formulation was really smooth and it never made me look cakey, which I find most powders do. I have had this powder for so long and it has taken me months to finally use it up, but I am glad that I did. I would repurchase this powder, but I think I am going to try some other drugstore powders before making this my Holy Grail powder.
Replacement Product: NYC Translucent Loose Setting Powder
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Moisturizing Shampoo
Repurchase: Maybe
My Thoughts: I got this shampoo in a set at Christmas for a steal. It was only $4.50 for 2 bottles of shampoo and 1 bottle of conditioner. I liked the concept that to helps boost your natural brunette color. After using this whole bottle of shampoo I can say that I don't really see a difference in my hair. It doesn't look enhanced or any more luscious. I also found that this shampoo made my hair seem more greasy than normal.
Replacement Product: Sunsilk Hydra TLC Shampoo
Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar PocketBac
Repurchase: Yes
My Thoughts: Warm Vanilla Sugar is my favourite scent from Bath & Body Works, so this product was super easy to use up. There really isn't much to say about this product, it's an antibacterial hand gel which I like to use at work when I am going from the shop into the office to make sure my hands are clean.
Replacement Product: Bath & Body Works Coconut Lime Verbena PocketBac
Alberto Miracle Mist
Repurchase: No
My Thoughts: I like this product as a heat defence spray but I don't like how it makes my hair feel throughout the day. It feels like I have a film on my hair and it makes my hair look greasy. With all of the other heat protectants on the market I am sure I can find something better.
Replacement Product: Nothing at the moment.
Bath & Body Works Antibacterial Wipes
Repurchase: No
My Thoughts: I bought these anti-bac wipes forever ago and never used them as I had originally planned. On the go I find it easier to use a PocketBac instead of these. In order to use these up I started using them before I apply my makeup to cleanse my hands.
Replacement Product: Bath & Body Works Antibacterial Wipes
Fusion Beauty Lash Fusion XL Mascara
Repurchase: Yes
My Thoughts: This is my favourite mascara ever! I got it super cheap at Winners, but it is the only higher end mascara I have used. It made my already long eyelashes look even more full and luscious. If you make the picture of the wand bigger it will seem like there is still alot of product left, but it has gotten to the point where the formula is waxey. It just makes a mess of my lashes and it is really hard to work with. I find that this mascara is one that you have to use up as soon as possible because it dries out so quickly.
Replacement Product: Clinique High Impact Mascara Sample
Disclaimer: All of these products were bought with my own money. All thoughts are honest and my own. I am not being compensated by any of the companies mentioned.
